Stop Depression And Anxiety In Six Minutes

Click here to read about a specialized linguistic format that sends messages to the brain as you read.  Each sentence shifts your internal state to move you to joy quickly and easily.

No side effects, no expensive therapy, no exercises to learn, just a few minutes of reading gives you results that last.

     Another type of treatment for Depression is:

Vagus Nerve Stimulation

     Vagus Nerve Stimulation, or VNS as it's known,  is a treatment that affects the function of the brain. VNS uses specific stimulation of the vagus nerve to send stimulation to specific parts of the brain that involve a person's mood.

The Benefits of Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) are:

  *   Vagus nerve stimulation is more effective than anti-depressants
  *   VNS does not have the side effects of antidepressants
  *   There are no drug interactions
  *   Compliance is guaranteed. Once the device is activated, there's no further action required.
  *   Quality-of-life benefits improve over time
  *   No cognitive impairment, such as memory loss
  *   No sexual dysfunction
  *   Life just gets better and better as time goes on

     Another effective way to treat Depression is with psychotherapy or "talk therapy."  In treating a person with depression, many Doctors not only prescribe antidepressants, but they also recommend some sort of "talk theraphy" or a combination of both.  It's important to talk with your Doctor on the best type of treatment for your situation.  Everyone is different so some may need a type of treatment especially designed for their needs.
     Two very effective approaches for treating depression are Interpersonal Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.  With Interpersonal Therapy, a therapist looks at the patient's personal relationships that not only cause his depression but that also make the depression worse.  If Cognitive-Behavioral Theraphy (CBT) is used a therapist helps the depression sufferer to learn how to get more fulfillment through their own actions.  They learn the patterns in their behavior that not only add to their depression but that cause it.  Then they learn how to change those patterns.
     There's a saying by Zig Ziglar that goes, "You can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind."  A caring therapist can help do this.  Just remember, no one form of treatment cures all cases of depression.  Every form of therapy has it's limits.  None of them in itself make you a new person.  Your depression may improve with medication, vitamins or talk therapy but they can't  put your life in order.  Only YOU can do that.  It will take effort, but only then will you be able to conquer your Depression.
